The Supreme Court of the United States handed the Trump administration a legal victory this week by throwing out a federal appeals court ruling that had revived a dispute over public speaking restrictions for immigration judges.
In an unsigned order, the justices reversed a decision of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

CEA Estimates DSA Policy Agenda Could Add Nearly $49 Trillion to Federal Fiscal Burden Over 10 Years
A new Council of Economic Advisers report estimates that seven major policy proposals associated with the Democratic Socialists of America’s 2026 “Workers Deserve More” program would create a net fiscal burden of about $48.9 trillion between 2027 and 2036, equivalent to roughly $355,000 per American household. The estimate is based on the CEA’s assumptions and scoring of the proposals, rather than a cost estimate produced by the DSA itself.
